BWYQ

Level 3 Technical Specialist in Teaching Postnatal Yoga for Mums & Babies (Award)

Total Credits: 6 — Guided Learning Hours: 36 — Total Qualification Time: 64

This Level 3 qualification is divided into two units, the knowledge unit followed by the skills unit (practical skills learned with the tutor that you then apply to actual class teaching with postnatal  students). The qualification will be available for courses starting August 2025 and beyond.

BWYQ has applied for grant funding so that e-learning resources can be created in full by summer 2025 – see a 2-minute sample below produced by our volunteers with free trial software .  In this way trainee teachers will be able to  access consistent information across centres and test their knowledge before completing worksheets for centre assessors’ Summative Assessment. Applying the knowledge to specialist teaching skills will be covered by your centre tutor. Trainees will set up postnatal yoga classes in their own communities  and one of these sessions will be observed and assessed by your training centre.

The focus is on after birth recovery for the new mothers, building a network of support with other new mums and, of course, bonding with their babies whilst practising yoga relaxation and wellbeing skills.
